Hi, I am mom to my two rescued girls.  Sandy is a greyhound/lab mix who graduated from the cell dog program.  I am teaching her to be my mobility dog. I was told Haley is also a greyhound/lab mix but she is half the weight of Sandy.  I have sent away a DNA test kit to see just what makes that bouncey ball of fur so energetic.  I have had many different breeds over the years, Golden and Chesapeake Retrievers that I showed for awhile until I switched to rescued mix breeds of a Shar Pei/Bulldog, a terrier/Poodle mix, a Springer mix, and three chihuahua/maltese.  There is just something about the greyhound personality that I love.  The way Sandy soars around the yard at high speed then comes in to body slam me makes me laugh.. I got Haley to be her running and wrestling companion.  Haley was from Alabama and tied outside by herself her entire life.  When she became pregnant, she was dumped at the shelter.  Sandy and I are teaching her how to be an inside dog.  She is doing good but thinks that the wooden ornaments on the Christmas tree are fair game when they fall on the floor!
